White Paper: Modern Alarm Management for IIoT Systems

We believe there is a new, innovative way to bring together the best practices of Alarm management for Industrial systems, and the trends in modern team collaboration. The explosion of solutions for IoT and (completely separately) team chat have been groundbreaking. But, to-date, the marriages between the two worlds have been ad-hoc at best.

We’ve published a White Paper that describes some of these challenges, and why the world is begging for a new solution.

You can check out the White Paper here.

And (ahem) of course our upcoming product CheckFlow is designed precisely to solve all of these issues.

Enjoy!

A brand spanking new web site

We’ve made live the inaugural version of our CheckFlow web site:

http://www.checkflow.co

CheckFlow is a collaborative groupware service for alarm management in the new, connected world of the Industrial Internet of Things.

We’ll also be making period posts to this blog to help flesh out some of the details about the service over time, so stay tuned!

Introducing CheckFlow (or “Why do IIoT Alarm Solutions Suck?”)

We’re kicking off this new blog with a quick post to describe who we are and why we’re here.

CheckFlow is the answer to a question we’ve been asking ourselves for the last year: “Why do mobile alerting and notification tools for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) suck so much?”

It’s not like there aren’t a lot of big, impressive companies are working hard on solving some very big problems in the world of IoT. The evolution the entire world is making into connected devices is impressive. The solutions that are appearing, managing and processing orders of magnitude more data, is impressive.

It’s just that with all of these machines talking, generating data, things are going to go wrong. And when they do, people need to be notified.

And today, we’re doing it with Email. And SMS.

The same Email that we try to avoid all day because of marketing junk. The same SMS that fails to deliver reliably a large percentage of the time.

That’s why we’re building CheckFlow. We think there is so much potential in developing a really awesome team-based service with first-class mobile endpoints. One that just works in any IIoT environment, out-of-the-box. One that makes it easy for Systems Integrators to build it into their clients deployments. One that makes it easy for field staff to adopt and use.

That’s what we’re building!

CheckFlow isn’t ready yet, but we’re close. If you want more info, please reach out to us.
